An interesting announcement came from Capcom when discussing the newest details about Resident Evil Village which was the fact that a VR outing to the Resident Evil franchise would be coming out soon, and not just that it’s a remake of Resident Evil 4 in VR exclusive to the Oculus Quest!
This is an interesting choice as RE4 is most well known for being the pioneer of most modern third-person action and horror games so seeing it being turned into a first-person game for a VR platform no less is certainly a strange choice. Still it’s an exciting prospect and while they didn’t reveal too much in this initial stream they stated that more information about the game would be revealed in the Oculus Gaming Showcase that will be taking place soon. So if you’re a fan of the series or just looking for a good VR horror game then be sure to keep an eye out for that.
