While Diablo 2: Resurrected was having it’s Alpha preview for those who were interested something that most people noted was that several of the classes were missing from this test. While understandable as this was simply something from the developers to test out how the game is handled on different systems and how the online components would interact with different networks there were various people who were dissapointed at not being able to play their favourite classes.
Luckily however it seems that some people had a brilliant idea. Because this remaster is essentially just a fancy graphical skin over the original engine they decided to try and use an old cheat engine used on the original game and surpsingly it worked! This allowed them to choose classes that were normally unavailable for testing including the Necromancer, Paladin and the Druid. Now of course these weren’t meant to be seen by the public yet and as such there are some animation errors and glitches but it’s nice to be able to get a demonstration of how they will play at least.
