If you remember from a short while ago I talked about a promising upcoming title known as Wicca which looked to be a fantasy game about witches set in Scotland and had you performing timeloop shenanigans in order to defeat your enemies. Well the developers, Autoexec Games, decided to change the name of the title so now say hello to TimeMelters!
The name change was due to the controversy of using the name of a technically still practiced religious and spiritual group and as such the developers didn’t want to upset anyone by associating their high fantasy game with an already existing group. It makes sense and while this may end up being problematic for their analytics in the long run I’m hoping that the quality of the end product will be the deciding factor regardless. On that note the developers also mentioned that big news concerning the game would be coming fairly soon so keep an eye out for that!
