It seems as though Amazon Prime Studios are really aiming to geta lot of different franchises onto their streaming platforms as recently there have been talks going on with EA about possibly creating a new TV series set in the Mass Effect universe which is a huge undertaking and could see a revitalisation of interest in the series as the next entry is being developed.
Personally I could easily see the Mass Effect universe working well in a TV setting as even if they decided to follow the story of the games the structured way in which the story is told and the lore is presented could make for a contender to Star Trek in the sci-fi TV genre which is incredible to think about. Obviously at the moment nothing has been confirmed and talks are still ongoing but it’s an exciting prospect to say the least. Let’s just hope they don’t mess it up.
