A Connected Halo

You’re a long way from home Rookie

343 Industries have been really on the ball with updates to the Master Chief Collection this year as more and more features and games are being added. This time according to the latest devblog they are planning to run test clusters of Halo 3: ODST and hope to have the actual campaign and firefight modes available not too long afterwards which is nice to see.

Alongside this they also talked about their priorities on adding new features, the main one at the top of the list of course being his detection fixes and crossplay between PC and Xbox systems. This would not doubt be a massive task and the balancing between controller and keyboard players alone will be something to think about. Personally however the feature I am most interested in is the Custom Game Browser which I believe will be the main thing that will bring the entire community together once more. Custom games (in my opinion) were the life and soul of many of the Halo games so being able to play them at random with other people online will be the big kick that the game needs. Anyway at this point it’s more about getting the features that SHOULD be in the game first before adding anything new, at least this shows they still care and support this.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
