So today I learned that Double Dragon is getting a brand new game in the series, with a trailer that just released recently. To be honest while I haven’t played many games in the series I have played the original when I was little and I loved it. Many people consider it to be one of if not THE best beat em up that ever existed. While I’m not too sure about that I am happy to see the series return.
What I am more intrigued about however is the fact that the new game seems to be a completely faithful addition to the series with 8-bit graphics being used instead of a new modern redesign. This could go one of two ways, either looking like it is pandering to those who want to go back to the ‘good olds days’ or it could be a great game that uses old graphics to make a distinct style. From the trailer it at least looks interesting so I will be keeping an eye on this!
