I have been on a bit 0f a Pokemon frenzy this weekend, trying out the new game and seeing exactly what the differences are. Sure enough the games are pretty much similar to the previous entries except for a few key changes that have been made in an effort to add variety to the gameplay and introduce new characters.
Things such as the Mantine Surf minigame are nice breaks to the normal gameplay, though while I do enjoy the new addition it feels a bit shallow, however I’m sure new parts to the minigame will be added as the game goes on. New character show up every so often too just to remind me that things are slightly different. I’m guessing that the key differences will be in the post-game story which has been promised to be extremely different, and if so I look forward to seeing just how different it is!
