Ok so I’m talking about TF2 again, go figure.
Going along with my strange pirate theme recently I have been using the weapon you see above you the ‘Loose Cannon’, silly name I know. This weapon however is an example of a ‘skill weapon’ as dubbed by the gaming community. A skill weapon is any type of weapon that when you use it initially it seems pretty bad or useless but once you practice enough and get good with it you can absolutely dominate anyone in your path.
Skill weapons are most common in multiplayer shooters as they usually are divided into ‘Noob Guns’, the type that require no skill to do well with and Skill weapons. My question to you all is what are your opinions on skill weapons? Should amazing weapons that could possibly be considered overpowered in a multiplayer environment exist if they have a skill cap to work towards first or should all weapons be on a level playing field?
