So if you listened to the High Rez Podcast that I recently took part in (and if you haven’t, why not!? Go listen!) then you would know that mid-way during the podcast I was in absolute shock as one of my co-workers told me that there was a remaster of Duke Nukem 3D in the works.
Now I was skeptical, but I did my research and holy cow I was not expecting this. Better graphics (though of course still remaining true to the old Duke way), new levels and even new enemies to fight it was all amazing! I still don’t know the full details such as what platforms it is coming out on or the price point but you can consider me interested! Between Sonic Blast and this game it seems that big developers are starting to revisit their old IP’s and make a retro looking remake/new game much more often. Could this possibly be the start of a new industry trend? I suppose we will just have to wait and see!
