Tne Pokemon Direct happened and we did indeed get our first glimpse at the new mainstream Pokemon games that will be coming out at the end of this year, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon.
Now we hardly know anything about the game itself, funnily enough it was just basically mentioned quickly as something extra after they announced that Pokken Tournament would be coming tp the Switch. All we know about it right now is that it will be set in the same region but will tell a ‘different story’ whatever that means. Alongside that the legendary pokemon of the original sun and moon seem to be fused with another legendary that many people suspected might become more important, I personally am not a fan of the fusions however.
I actually found the direct slightly dissapointing as it mostly focused upon Pokken Tournament, and while there are now three new games coming out this year, all of them are treading the same ground that we have already experienced. I suppose we will just have to see if the new main title games shake up the formula enough to warrant a purchase.
