Looks like Sony have once again made a bad marketing decision. In partnership with the UK based gaming store “GAME” they have decided to introduce store-based customer experiences of their new Playstation VR experience. Now while this sounds great in theory the catch is that you actually have to pay money to be involved in this, which is absolutely outrageous.
The bog thing holding back VR from being more popular right now is just how expensive it is. VR headsets are already well and beyond what a normal average working joe could afford normally without heavy saving and so giving this first impressions pricetag to consumers who may never have even heard of VR before is going to give off the wrong vibe to them and make people even less likely to want to try and experience Virtual Reality.
Now I understand why they are doing this, might as well make money from what you can consider an entertaining experience, however doing it in this manner is going to only hurt the sales of the new VR system and put a lot of new customers off even taking a look at the product. What do you all think of this? Do you share my opinions or do you disagree? Be sure to comments and let me know! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
