So they have done it. It’s taken them over 9 years but the maker of the Call of Duty franchise have finally decided to go back to their roots, a world war 2 shooter. Call of Duty WW2 (seemingly the working title thus far) has been leaked by various sources early to a reveal livestream set for the 26th of this month. From what we have seen so far it appears as though the Call of Duty series is playing its cards safely and following in the footsteps of Battlefield this time ironically, going back to the past events.
I’ll be honest, I probably still won’t play this game in the series. However I am happy that they are going back to this period in time. World at War was my favourite COD game so seeing another game set at that time (and I do hope with the zombies mode intact) fills me with hope, it might even be good this time. I guess the reveal trailer will be out in a few days so consider this a look into the future… I knew I had psychic powers!
