A Wild Award

You think this was a joke, his inner voice is sighing with relief

I don’t usually cover video game awards as I feel that they sometimes give commendations to games that don’t entirely deserve it, however this time I thought it was a solid choice. The UK has a gaming awards show called the ‘Golden Joystick’ that sees the industry’s biggest contenders attend just to see who gets the prestigious awards.

This year of course the big award, Game of the Year, was given to Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The award was given for the massive open world they created, for re-invigorating the gameplay and essentially launching the Switch to become the most popular current generation console this year. After playing the game all I can say is the award is well deserved as this was a game made with love and passion from the developers.

So congratulations Nintendo, may your next Zelda game live up to the hype! Just please don’t put Microtransactions in it. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
