We Are The Best

I really didn’t know what image to put here ok I’m sorry

Gaming has finally done it. According to a study and inspection of the industry by Reuters (A prominent business news site and media outlet) gaming as an entertainment sector rose in prominence by approximately 10.7% and the global revenue stream garnered by the gaming industry stands at around $116 Billion as opposed to TV/Streaming which raked in around $105 Billion and Movies which brought around $41 Billion.

The article states that mainly China’s increasing interest in the market has led to a huge boom for the sector and the massive success of global games such as Minecraft and Fortnite have also led to gaming finally taking the crown as the champion of the entertainment industry. Of course most of us gamers knew this already, it’s simply a matter of time before gaming becomes fully mainstream in the general public’s eye however long that might take. Still this is a huge step in the right direction and hopefully people will be more open to the idea of gaming as a serious and competitive industry rather than just thinking it’s a niche market for kids and man-children.

What do you all think of this? Are you excited for the prospects of what this might mean for the future of our industry? Be sure to share your thoughts and opinions! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
