It’s been a long while and with many teasers and hints the big new 1.6 update for Stardew Valley finally has a release date of March 19th.
This update was not supposed to end up very big but developer Eric Barone kept adding to it over time and eventually it became a new, big thing all on its own. It will feature PC multiplayer for up to 8 people, new items, festivals and even a brand new farm. All of these, alongside new additions to the endgame, makes Stardew Valley once again one of the most supported and loved games by its developer. Really makes you wish that other devs cared about their games this much…
After the completion of this update it is likely that Eric will return to work on his next game, Haunted Chocolatier, but with how successful Stardew Valley is who know, maybe he will just update it forever. Only time will tell!
