The Unity Backtrack

Too little too late

Well we all saw this coming, Unity have decided to break their silence and state that they apologise for their newest changes to their monetization and fee system for developers and vow to make changes to this for the future. Now what exactly those changes will be was not stated, however most assume it will be somthing to do with the installation fee they originally planned for games that reach a certain threshold. However we simply don’t know at this stage, however hilariously they stated that the reason for these changes is due to “the confusion and angst the runtime fee policy we announced on Tuesday caused” which, let’s be clear, there was no confusion at all, Unity was doing a scumbag move, no confusion.

Regardless we will have to wait and see to find out what the actual changes to this proposal will be, though it may already be too late to regain the trust of developers. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
