How convenient that we recently talked about Telltale Games as it seems as though they are back in the news once again, and this time I’m getting a vague sense of Déjà vu as they recently announced that a large amount (read: most) of their staff were being laid off. mirroring the complete dismantling of the company several years ago.
Now it’s not too hard to see this coming from a mile away. The remnants of the company that forged itself back together after it’s initial collapse weren’t exactly in the strongest position and none of their recently released products have really captured our attentions, and thus the company felt as though it was on life support even before this news was broken. As such it’s more of an inevitability than anything else really at this point. The company state that their current game projects are still underway, but who knows how long that will last.
