If you remember, Multiversus is Warner Bros Smash Bros and was released a wee while back in beta. The game was then, bizzarely, taken down to then focus on the full release of the game rather than left up for people to enjoy. It seems however that this gamble may have paid off as the game has now returned to Steam and was actually the third most played game on the platform with many praising the changes made to the gameplay.
When it was initially taken down I was entirely expecting that the game would never see the light of day again, however it seems I have been entirely proven wrong. What does this mean for the future of the game? More characters, more references and (sadly) more microtransactions. Ach well, for a free game I guess it needs to make a profit somewhere. If you’re a fan of any of the many properties that Warner Bros are using for this game then there you go I suppose, your want for a game like this again has been answered!
