Well this was an absolute surprise. The newest Pokemon movie was revealed as Pokemon: Detective Pikachu and much to the delight (and horror) of fans it’s a live action adaptation with a seemingly competent and well versed team behind it. From what we can tell the movie is about an ex-trainer who begins a search for his missing father to find out why he dissapeared, oh and Ryan Reynolds stars as a talking Pikachu that acts as a detective… what…
Now this is actually a movie adaptation of a game which had the exact same premise however it seems as though there were many creative liberties taken when making this into a film including the fact that almost all the Pokemon look like strange and horrifying versions of themselves, just like how they probably would look if they really existed. All I know is that I am weirdly excited for this film and I can’t wait to see if it turns out to actually be a good movie. This could very well be one for the history books ladies and gentlemen.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
