Few games have as much of an intriguing premise as that of One Hour One Life which takes an entirely unique spin on the multiplayer survival genre. Recently the game was released on Steam which is notable for the fact that the developer, Jason Rohrer, has been known for going it alone for most of his games but this is shaping up to be a very interesting experience to share with others.
The premise is you make a character in a shared multiplayer survival world and you must help build up civilisation by gathering, building and all sorts of other things. The catch is that your character is only alive for a single hour and is birthed to another player who must be your mother for a few minutes and help raise you until you can fend for yourself. This has the ability to make some very personal and interesting stories that can be shared by players and is certainly a very unique gameplay mechanic to base the entire game on. I for one hope this game finds great success and I hope people share plenty about their experiences with it.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
