I suppose the natural progression of this trend is going the way of a joke which funnily enough is turning into a serious product, how interesting. This is the ‘PC Classic’, a small DOS based gaming system that is being kickstarted right now, yes this is actually a thing.
The system is said to come with at least 30 DOS based games from the early 80’s and 90’s and will come with a very old looking console that absolutely screams retro PC tech. Personally I can see this being a big success to those who are not technically inclined but loved the older gaming generation so while this does seem like a ridiculous concept at first I can see the target audience for it. The developers have even stated that in the future you might possibly be able to buy even more games for the system which is a big leap forward that hasn’t been done on these other Plug n’ Play consoles. I won’t be too interested in it but I still wish them the best of luck with getting it funded, even if the concept is a bit silly.
