Since the Xbox layoffs it seems as though Bethesda has been kicked into action to try and alleviate the woes that fans are feeling and no doubt the devs are sweating over. They announced several Fallout projects that are currently being worked on, and even one being made by Obsidian again! The New Vegas prodigies return once more.
Speaking of New Vegas, in one of the worst kept secrets in the industry, Bethesda officially confirmed that both Fallout 3 and New Vegas are getting remasters. The way they were announced together makes me wonder if perhaps they will be coming as a bundle package, which I certainly hope so as the fact they previously ran on the same engine would make this make perfect sense.
Finally, they announced that Fallout 5 was in pre-production, though their current focus was still on the Elder Scrolls 6. Personally, with all these announcements, I would much rather they just focused all their attention on ES6 rather than the scattershot approach they seem to have here, especially with all the recent layoffs. Regardless, I’m sure things will turn out positive in the end… maybe.
