Speaking of MMOs, Elder Scrolls Online! This is a more modern example of the MMO genre and has been hit very hard recently by the layoffs at Microsoft, leaving the team at around the same size as when they first started development on the game. That’s a big dip, and more worryingly, this means that future content around ESO is looking rather murky at current. They had a whole plan of Seasons of content, adding small adventures more frequently, all that jazz. Now however, well, things may be slowing down for a while. It might not be dead at present, but this may be the knock that starts them on the downward trend. A great shame, as the game is generally good and fun to play, just another example of corporate meddling it seems.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
