Nagoshi Studio was the game development company set up by Toshihiro Nagoshi, the original creator of the Yakuza series, and whom had a game in development, Gang of Dragon. Unfortunately, I refer to them in the pats tense as both the studio and the game itself are no longer around with their publisher, NetEase, pulling the plug on the studio and leaving Gang of Dragon a game forever lost to time.
It’s always a shame when a fledgling studio doesn’t even get to make a name for itself on the stage before being thrown aside but such is the life for working in the big, scary game development world I suppose. Maybe the devs will find a way to recover the work they did on the game but until then we will forever wonder why it was worded so strangely.
