Well it’s finally happened. After many long years of floundering with games that were not as successful as their original pedigree would suggest Bioware is officially closing their doors. One of the great pioneers of the Western RPG Genre their more recent titles were met with lukewarm reception and as such have permanently shuttered their doors.
This is, of course, all thanks to EA as due to their huge buyout by the Saudi Government have cut over 400 jobs from across the entire company and other developers working under them. All in an attempt to break even from all the crazy money spending they spent years doing. Now it’s all Madden, Fifa and whatever. A damn shame, but for those in the know, perhaps this news doesn’t come across as all that surprising. EA likes to gobble up developers and spit them back out when they no longer have any need for them, and it seems this time Bioware had run their usefulness. Time will tell what happens to the devs, I hope they find work soon, but for now say goodbye to that Mass Effect 4. Such a shame…
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
