After returning from holiday I hoped to find a bunch of interesting new games and updates on things I was excited for, but instead I was sadly greeted to even morew layoffs at Microsoft and Xbox Game Studios to help with ‘growth’, yet again the gaming industry manages to disappoint me.
This issue with infinite growth is going to continue until it reaches a breaking point, and these layoffs are going to be a big part of it. In many ways I almost hope a crash happens to help show publishers and big CEO’s the consequences of their actions, but that wowuld result in a lot of people getting hurt so that outcome would be the worst situation. Regardless, more people losing their jobs to pointless investor pandering, I hope the people laid off can find new employment soon enough.
