Video games often allow you to carry out fantasies and scenarios that you wouldn’t be able to do so in real life, and one of the most iconic roles that pops up again and again is that of the humble fantasy knight. Weilding a sword, and possibly shield, against all manner of evil and fighting against the greatest of odds to achieve victory and defend the weak. From all of the main, intended playstyles of the Dark Souls games, to all of the Zelda entries, and even plenty of other open world RPG’s like the Elder Scrolls franchise playing with a big sword on hand and wearing a full suit of plate armor is timeless, enjoyable and a damn good time should you wish to take up the oath.
