With a new year comes new interesting developments within the gaming industry and we have already started with a banger. Lead Narrative Designer for Halo Infinite, Aaron Linde, has seemingly left 343 to work as an R&D Specialist for Riot Games in what he mysteriously called a ‘bittersweet’ moment.
Aaron has been in a slew of writing jobs before such as being a senior writer at Bungie and a Narrative Lead at ArenaNet so changing jobs isn’t exactly big news to talk about. However this all surrounds a surprisingly tight lipped company that according to rumours and sources was a victim of corporate meddling and extreme crunch in an effort to get Halo Infinite out to the public, which in many ways can be seen in the final product.
It’s interesting then that Aaron states this as being a ‘bittersweet’ moment, like there are painful memories attached to leaving his team. Maybe I’m just reading into this too much however and he just got a better job opportunity so who knows. Anyway what do you all think about this? That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
