Let’s just not talk about the Fallout livestream that is still going on… once something actually happens with that I will write about it. In the meantime another big surprise was announced, the brand new Pokemon games for Switch being released in November this year!
Known as ‘Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee’ they seem to be a spin-off title that are also a remake of the original Red and Blue games. They focus upon telling the same story as the original games while also providing beautiful new 3D graphics and they also carry over a lot of gameplay mechanics from the mobile game Pokemon Go. Things such as seeing pokemon in the overworld and capturing them by physically throwing the Pokeball, there’s also supposedly the ability to send pokemon direct to the mobile game which is a huge surprise.
The biggest thing for me however is the inclusion of local co-op which will allow me and my partner to finally explore the world of Pokemon side by side. This feature alone will probably get me to buy this game however I am aware that this is designed for a more casual audience and that a “proper” main series title will be released next year at some point. Will this game actually be good and successfully bring back the hype surrounding Pokemon Go? I suppose there’s only one way to find out.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
