(Quick note for everyone, I’m away next week, so expect new posts in 2 weeks, hope you all have a great week! Weekweekweekweekweek)
I’m a wee bit late to this party, but late is better than never! Super Mario 64, the biggest initial 3D platformer of all time is 30 years old now! Only slightly younger than me, which is crazy to think about. Yet despite the game’s age it continues to be popular amongst streamers and people discovering it for the first time. It’s not just the timeless nature of the game itself that contributes to this, but the incredible amount of support and additional content provided by modders and developers making for a game that at this stage will probably never run out of custom content.
If you haven’t, you most certainly should give the game a try as even though it can certainly feel dated it’s still a fun time, and there’s so many ways to play the game now that you’d be a fool not to try and experience this absolute classic. I may even find myself going for another runthrough at some point soon, after all, it is tradition!
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
