The #SaveTF2 movement really took off when it was brought into the mainstream news as content creators from all over the internet threw their weight in to support the idea of Team Fortress 2 finally getting an update to fix the growing bot problem that plagues it. After Valve gave an official response saying that they were working on it many were very hopefuly however the radio silence afterwards filled people with a familiar feeling of dread that they weren’t getting anything to help the issue and that it was just an empty promise.
However, TF2 just recently got a small update that while it doesn’t solve the bot problems it does provide a few extra measures to help deal with them and alongside that fixes decade-old bugs that the game has had to deal with for all these years. It’s a strange choice however many are saying that this could very well be the start of something to help save the game and that these bug fixes are just the beginning. TF2 does constantly get tiny updates but these usually only fix a bug or two and introduce the next cosmetic crate for people to purchase. Now however it seems as though maybe this update will be a sign of things to come, I guess we will just have to wait and see.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
