The Ubisoft Forward event took place and announced that they would be pumping out new Assassin’s Creed games left and right, who would have thought.
We are of course getting the already announced ‘Mirage’ which is set to come out next year and will go back to the root of the series, being a sneaky assassin in the middle east. There will also be a final piece of DLC for Valhalla which I’m sure fans of the game will be happy to hear about.
Aside from that there will also be three other titles that are currently in development and set to release some time after 2024. Codename Red will be a game set in feudal japan so I’m sure all the weebs will be happy to live that fantasy out. Codename Hexe will apparently be centred around witches in european england so god knows what that will entail. Finally Codename Jade will be a mobile game set in ancient China. All of this tying into the mysterious Assassin’s Creed Infinity which seems to be some kind of collection or something similar.
Regardless it seems as though the series may be dealing with a bit of bloatedness and while I was happy to see the series go back to basics with Mirage it appears as though the other games will be RPG focused entries like modern Assassin’s Creed games which is a bit dissapointment. Still I can’t make judgements until the games are actually out so I will wait and see for that.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
