In an interesting series of events involving legal documents due to the case with the FTC, Microsoft had a bunch of secret documents leaked to the internet that had some very interesting things on them. The thing I’m most interested in though is the fact that Bethesda had, at one point, had Remasters for both Fallout 3 and Oblivion in the works, and it is currently unknown if they still do.
Now the documents were from a few years ago and so most likely things have changed and these won’t see the light of day but still this is an exciting idea. While I do think it’s strange they would remaster Oblivion when Morrowind is the game that could benefit far more from a remaster, Fallout 3 is a great choice as a few touch ups here and there to bring it up to the same level as New Vegas would be a brilliant idea. As I said though, it’s likely this isn’t ever happening as quite a few game projects were announced in those documents that haven’t seen the light of day, but it’s nice to speculate regardless.
