It’s certainly a sad thing to see but the titan of the hero shooter genre and the arguably biggest new multiplayer IP of the modern gaming sphere has shut down it’s servers in favour of it’s sequel, Overwatch 2.
I remember when I first started writing on this site how invested I was in the game and how much I enjoted playing it. However now after coming away from the game and seeing the state of how it’s sequel looks I must say that it’s a great shame as according to many Overwatch 2 looks to be a big downgrade over the original and the fact that we now cannot even play the original game is a crying shame for both those who prefer the old days and those who care about game preservation. So be sure to pour one out for old Overwatch and we will see just how bad the second game turns out to be. Ah well… at least we still have TF2.
