In something that will not be seen as much of a shock to those following the platform Google has decided that they will be shutting down Stadia, their attempt at a Cloud Gaming platform, and will be refunding everyone who bought content for it.
This comes as not much of a shock to people at the platform was close to dead on arrival due to the technology not quite working, the game library not being very large and the fact that you not only had to pay for a subscription but also had to actually buy the games you wanted to play which seems very silly to me. Stadia won’t really be missed as it never really gained much of a following to begin with but it is sad that yet another google service has been launched and abandoned not long after it was released. I guess Google are just too rich to really fail and can just give up on projects like these without much care. I wonder if they will attempt to jump into the gaming world again at some point… I guess we will have to see.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
