Everyone loves a bit of Garry’s Mod every now and then. If you’re primarily a PC player then you will no doubt have Valve’s greatest sandbox installed somewhere on your hard drive and will occasionally find yourself dipping in to see what cool new stuff modders have added. Well, how about playing Super Mario 64?
Yes a new mod by the name of G64 has successfully ported a fully playable version of Mario from his famous first 3D outing into the framework of Gmod. Now while this may not seem like such a big deal what is notable is the fact that it’s not just the model that’s been ported, it’s the entire movement system too. Mario is able to run, jump, wall-kick and evey other action that he was capable of doing from Super Mario 64 is fully functional and works on almost any map in the game. This is an incredibly well done mod and it just shows the dedication that some modders have to adding cool things into games that they enjoy. And hell most of the maps from 64 have already been ported into the game, so technically you could play through all of them using the original Mario too.
