So among all of the information revealed at the game awards one of the biggest surprises was the announcement of the first DLC character for Smash Ultimate, Joker from Persona 5!
Quite simply nobody expected this choice (aside from Alpharad but we don’t talk about that…) however we should have all seen this coming as the director of Smash, Mr Sakurai himself, had been playing Persona 5 and adored it. So much so in fact that the menu style in his latest game is based on Persona’s which is a lovely homage if nothing else.
I must sadly admit that I have never played a Persona game but from what I hear they sound like a great time. Maybe if this entry comes to the switch I will give it a go. In the meantime I will look forward to playing as this pretty cool looking character. I am an absolute sucker for masks. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
