Rejoice one and all for the biggest speedrunning event has finally returned to show us some of the best technical skill in the gaming industry and also some of the most broken games ever made, SGDQ!
Since the original event was cancelled this new one has been created to work remotely so that people can still do their legendary speedruns from the comfort of their own home. The event is running throughout the entire week and the schedule is up on their website so there will be plenty for you to watch whatever your tastes in gaming are.
Obviously a bit of the magic for the event will be lost at the lack of an interactable audience and backseat couch full of experts but regardless this is the safest way that the event can continue so I’m fully supportive of it. I’d encourage leaving it on for some background noise as it can be very fascinating and you might even learn a thing or two about the games you love.
