I haven’t really talked about the biggest game in the world right now, Fortnite. I also don’t really talk about movies that much on this site as gaming is the sole focus however a fun little crossover in both these sectors have created something that I simply have to talk about.
Avengers: Infinity War is a pretty popular movie and so it stands to reason that a film that is catered for massive nerds would also dip it’s toes in the gaming sector. Enter Fortnite who recently started an event in which you can play as the big baddie of the film, Thanos. Every so often a meteor will drop in the game that will contain the main weapon used by Thanos, the Infinity Gauntlet. When a player retrieves this item they can become the big bad himself and destroy other players with massive punches, giant leaps and hand lasers. Watching the gameplay seemed like a great amount of fun however I don’t have much interest in the Battle Royale genre so you won’t see me playing this despite the fun crossover. Still I think it’s a great idea and with the hype and mystery surrounding the pre-release of this event I look forward to seeing what else this game has to offer for new ARG’s.
