Oh boy, talk about problematic for 343 industries. In a surprising turn of events the lead director for Halo Infinite, Chris Lee, who was also a big name executive at 343 itself has officially left the project but is still being employed by Microsoft to work on ‘future projects’. As you can imagine when a game loses it’s director this can lead to a massive amount of issues and especially so with this game in particular considering the lukewarm reception the game received when it was first shown to the public and then subsequently delayed.
While Chris stated that he believes in the team and thinks they will produce a great game it still spells warning signs for the project and unless we are shown actual marketable improvements for the game’s release at some point next year this might be just another project marred by bad design decisions and a lack of of quality game design, which will hopefully not be the case. Still I am always willing to give a second chance and who knows maybe this director change will end up bringing good things to the project, actions do speak louder than words after all.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
