Hyperstrange are, funnily enough, an odd developer. A few years ago they released the popular Blood West, a western inspired first person survival game that was very reminiscent of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Now they are planning on releasing a full survival game known as Bloodwoven, which is a type of spiritual sequel, though we aren’t really sure as to if it is a full sequel to Blood West.
It’s set in a frozen, Inuit inspired place that is actually on the corpse of an old, eldritch god and you must survive, along with your tribe, by harvesting the body of the god. It will feature full climbing mechanics, exploration and combat with various monsters and other tribes. It reminds me a lot of a cold Morrowind from the art style and esoteric premise and anything being compared to Morrowind is certainly a good thing. If you’re interested in this then give it a look and a wishlist at the link here.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
