For those of you too young to remember (and this really makes me feel old) Happy Wheels was a beloved flash platforming game that became the backbone of many a young Youtuber’s career. It’s everything you would imagine an early flash game to be. Difficult challenges, custom levels, memes and of course lots and lots of horrible violence, lovely!
I haven’t played the game in a long time, but I was shocked to hear that even with the death of Flash the game never really went away as it was playable in Java online, but now it’s had a full Steam release! With it comes a cheap price of $5, but that gets rid of all ads, gives you Steam achievements, an up to date level browser, the ability to download levels for offline play, controller support and plenty more. It’s a beefy series of changes, so it’s nice to see even an older title like this can still have some fun life injected into it. It may even convince me to check it out again, can feel like I’m back in Secondary School in the IT Class. Check out the game on Steam right here.
