The Halo Infinite multiplayer technical preview took place over the past weekend and was a big his for those who participated. They felt as though the bots they played against were of a good enough caliber and that the mutliplayer in general felt really fun to play although there were still quite a lot of technical issues as might be expected from a technical preview. This all points to good things with the multiplayer portion of the latest Halo which is great to hear however there was also another unexpected thing that was uncovered during the preview.
Players who were digging around in the code of the game came across various things that were linked directly to the campaign including item names, achievement titles and various other things that while not entirely giving the game away from just the names alone are enough to be considered spoilers for many. I obviously won’t be talking about exactly what they found here but if you look hard enough I’m sure you will come across the stuff that they found. The creators of the game even commented on this asking people not to spread this information as it would spoil the plot of the game and make the many years of development feel a little bit wasted as all their grand reveals would just be found out by looking through some code.
Still it shows that despite the multiplayer and campaign being sold as two seperate products they are still intrinsically linked together so it will be interesting to see how the campaign feels to play when the multiplayer has had a lot of positive feedback. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
