Fool Me Twice…

Oh boy… here I go again…

If you have a memory like I do then… well first go visit a doctor and get some help, and second you may remember Cube World, that cool voxel-based indie game that released in Alpha years ago, was never heard from again, then fully release a short time ago and was generally considered an awful experience that was worse than the alpha in every way.

Well now it seems the creator, Wollay, is pushing their luck by announcing Cube World: Omega which is a full redesign of the game that will bring it’s design philosophy back into thr good old days of the Alpha. This new version will feature procedural generation on items and characters, new weather systems and a bunch of other things.

We haven’t been given a date for release but considering this game’s reputation this could be a long wait. We also have not had it confirmed if this is a free update or if we would have to pay for this as a seperate new version which is, quite frankly, insulting. Considering how the previous game has gone I would have a healthy amount of skepticism for this new release as history has shown this game is cursed to forever be mired in controversy. Regardless I will await and see if the game does end up bringing back the magic, though I wouldn’t hold my breath.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
