It seems another highly anticipated game falls into the trap of being made an Epic Game Store exclusive and as anticipated a lot of people are incredibly angry at this move. Borderlands 3 originally didn’t mention anything about release times or even what platforms it would be on however after the release of a trailer showing off both the release date and that the game would be exclusive on Epic’s distribution platform on the PC for six months our fears have been made real.
Now at this moment we aren’t 100% sure if Steam won’t be involved somehow as Gearbox did just release a massive update for the original Borderlands only on the original PC platform so who knows what is going on at this moment. It seems however that this is purely a publisher move as gearbox have already made attempts to shift the blame onto them and their decisions that are purely motivated by profit.
It’s a shame but maybe this will be what gets me to install the launcher, though it still is missing crucial features and there is still rumours about illegal data tapping so I will be extremely wary. The game is set to be released on September 13th so I await that fated day. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
