If you are involved with online gaming at all then you will have most likely heard of Discord which is the most popular voice chat and online community software around. Well apparently according to several sources the company is unfortunately not very profitable at the moment and as such is considering going on sale, eithe to a private company or by going public.
This idea is perhaps confusing to many considering the popularity of Discord but considering the fact it is free and doesn’t provide too many incentives to pay for features it’s understandable why they may be facing financial issues. There are many companies then that are looking to maybe purchase Discord, the biggest one at the moment being Microsoft who are offering over $10 Billion dollars, that’s a lot of money.
Of course there are many offers on the table and the people at Discord are hard at work considering all the options but suffice it to say it would certainly be interesting if Microsoft gained control of the biggest voice chatting software around, I guess we shall just have to wait and see!
