A while back I mentioned how the original creator of The Witcher series, Andrzej Sapkowski, was getting involved in a lawsuit against CD Projekt Red for royalties that he believed were not comparable to the amount that he was offered when they originally bought the right of the series from him. This was purely a uniquely Polish law that allowed him to push for this which hurt in the eyes of the gaming public as Andrzej has no love for the gaming industry and sold the rights for such a low price as he thought there was no artistic merit in the industry.
However almosy appropriately considering the recent Netflix adaptation of the series CD Project Red have come to an agreement with Andrzej that has left both parties happy with the outcome which is nice to see in a dispute such as this. I still don’t believe that he deserves to back out and ask for more money especially considering his stance on gaming as a whole but it is the law in Poland so who am I to argue. Anyway I suppose the company can put this whole farce behind them now and focus on more important matters.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
