Cyberpunk Troubles

oh dear oh my…

While Cyberpunk 2077 is still shaping up to be one of the biggest games of next year a recent development has made some players a little wary concerning the mysterious multiplayer that CD Projekt Red stated would be in the game.

In a recent investor meeting via conference call the developers were questioned about how the game would be monetised, specifically in regards to the multiplayer that was revaled a short time ago but is still in early development. They stated that the mode would likely be ‘monetised’ but that they would be sensible and would not break their trust they have with the consumer base in regards to what type of monetisation they decide to partake in. This however has fueled much speculation that they are talking about microtransactions which the company previously said would never happen in this game, however they did specifically mention only in the single player adventure so for the multiplayer your guess is as good as mine.

I have a lot of faith in CD Projekt Red as they have been pretty good in regards to industry standards for actually being good to their players but with this recent news it’s certainly put some people in a state of unease. I will wait until it is officially revealed exactly what the plans are but hopefully it won’t detract from the game at all.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
