It’s always sad to see a studio giving up on a game but when it’s an online-only multiplayer shooter you have to expect it really. Titanfall was a very well known and mixed game when it first came out and while the sequel undoubtably was the more successful of the two it’s clear that the original Titanfall still had some fans, little though they were.
However over the past year the original game has been facing issues with hackers and botters leading to a game that many left due to simply not being able to play normal matches. It seems then that Respawn Entertainment have decided rather than fixing the hacking problem to instead pull the plug and have the game removed from storefronts. This is indeed a shame however considering that the amount of people playing barely breached the double digits it’s fair to say that they could better allocate resources elsewhere. Still to those who still enjoy the original Titanfall you have my sympathies, enjoy the game while it lasts. They didn’t confirm when exactly the game would be removed so if you still want to experience it you might as well hop on now while you still have the chance to do so.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
