In a very interesting case of the past coming back in a positive light in the gaming world it seems as though Valve are starting to make games again. Recently they announced that they had purchased the company Campo Santo who made the successful indie game known as Firewatch. The company are currently developing another game called ‘In the Valley of Gods’ however it’s been said to be a while before it’s ready to be released.
This marks an interesting turn of events as people believed Valve were going to focus on software sales with Steam and supporting their E-sport focused games like DOTA 2 and Counter Strike and were leaving the game development life behind however it seems this isn’t the case anymore. In the past Valve have collected developers who worked on mods to create games for them and so with this latest acquisition it seems as though they are going down the same path, let’s just hope that they can bring back their title of being a legendary game development company again, I certainly hope it’s not too late.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
